Sundial Group is delighted to be back on the road this summer visiting agents up and down the country with their iconic 1960s Routemaster bus.
On Tuesday 28th July, the Chudbus arrived at the Arrange My Group offices with plenty of fun and games, and a fabulous buffet lunch!
The bright red double decker showcases Sundial’s three award-winning country house meeting venues; Highgate House in Northamptonshire, Woodside in Warwickshire and Barnett Hill in Surrey.
The story behind the bus? The original Chudbus was the creation of Michael and Diana Chudley. They converted an AEG Regal coach into a mobile home and took their large family on holidays, including, what was in those days, a real adventure to the USA. This trip was broadcast by the BBC and Gaumont News (search Chudbus on YouTube) and is believed to be the inspiration for The Cliff Richard film, Summer Holiday. The Chudley family went on to establish Sundial Group and still use the Chudbus today to bring a bit of fun to agents around the country!
