Why eco/vegan spaces are seriously on-trend for corporate events

As eco-awareness becomes increasingly important to the corporate world, we are seeing a huge uplift in requests for ‘green’ and ‘vegan’ dining and event spaces.

Here at arrangeMY it’s something we’re keen to support.

Vegan matters
A significant part of the move to support climate control is the number of people adopting a vegan diet.

According to the UK Vegan Society, UK vegans quadrupled between 2014 and 2018.

As a result, there were 600,000 vegans in 2018 (1.16% of the population). It’s also highly likely that these figures will have grown in the last year.

To meet this hunger, we have compiled a list of corporate venues, caterers and restaurants subscribing to the green machine of plant power.

We’ll start in the north
One of our favourite venues is the UK’s first fully vegan hotel.

Located in the heart of beautiful Scotland, Saorsa 1875 opened its doors this summer and promises ‘ethical luxury.’ Their 100% vegan food and drink menu is locally sourced and the venue looks amazing too. It’s Victorian/Gothic architecture, complemented by designer interiors is the perfect fusion of modern and antique.

Let’s head south to the capital
In recent years London has seen a propagation of vegan and vegetarian venue and dining options.

Our first foodie stop is Genesis.

Located on the edge of the City of London, this plant-based eatery is a cult hit with trendy young corporates.

Looking for a budget-friendly alternative? Tell Your Friends in Fulham is a fully dedicated vegan restaurant with all the taste-temping, healthy treats you’d expect.

And when it comes to overnight stays, The Hilton London Bankside recently opened its first 100% Vegan Suite. Here eco-conscious designers masterminded everything from the room keycards to the flooring; with full certification from the Vegan Society.

Now it’s across to Bristol
Even a brief bike ride around Bristol tells you that you’re in the UK’s vegan capital.

Bristol is home to a number of top-rated Happy Cow venues. This is a linked chain of veggie/ vegan eateries that are just waiting to be discovered by flesh-free diners.

Check out especially the legendary dirty burgers at Oowee Vegan. This really is feel-good naughty food but once again, without the calorie or climate/cruelty guilt.

Hello from Manchester
The final city up for our vegan nomination is Manchester.

Manchester is the home of Live Life on the Veg and this plant-powered kitchen (it’s 80% vegan) offers a fabulous event space matched by a great culinary experience.

Where else?
We were not expecting Forest of Dean to feature here, but if you delight in sweet treats and cakes then we must mention the award-winning Lotties Vegan Bakery.

Lottie is a self-taught vegan baker who conjures up bespoke cakes and treats; and everything is available to order online.

In addition, if you’re looking for catered event dining and you’re in or near Somerset, then Vegan To You is backed by 20 years of specialist catering experience. They offer bespoke vegan menus for any occasion.
